Almond Chu’s photographs are simple composition and structure using clear lines, plain objects and usually photographed in black and white. In his nudes, Almond transforms the body of the object to bring the audience into his own inner self. Inside is a profound and invisible force that words cannot adequately explain. If Almond’s photographs are merely seen as symbols of sex, life and death they underly ‘charm’ and dignity. The naked bodies frees themselves of the constrictions of time and space.
