城市 – 亮
在當代充滿電子資訊及廣吿的互聯時代中，許多地方都變成了全球化國家。尹氏因此選擇於亞洲開展他的攝影之旅，他分別於香港，上海，北京，台北，東京，首爾和新加坡進行拍攝，在這些大都市中他紀錄下夜間城市裡最繁忙而璀璨的街道景觀。
作品切實了藝術家對亞洲社會現實的敏銳觀察。尹氏的創作過程是有條不紊的，他通過多重曝光的技術，覆疊了一張張國際品牌及廣告牌的圖像，作品的細節透露了城市中人與這些品牌相互依存的痕跡，很有力量地揭示了社會中全球化，消費主義及經濟增長的現象。
我們常常停留在幻想和現實之間，生活中亦無法將自己與這些二維圖像分開。我們從照片中線條的交叉結構看見每個城市獨特的風貌，而每個城市都擁有著其獨特性。實際上，當我們看著不同城市的廣告品牌時，我們就能看到每個城市如何互相產生共鳴。無論是好是壞，全球化有著一股力量吸引我們所有人並統一世界每一處。相反，資本主義亦同時摧毀著我們各地的獨特性。在《城市 – 亮》系列中，我們看到每個城市如何的互相交匯。
About MÉNOS Artist Collective
MÉNOS was established in 2018 with a commitment to promoting local photographic cultural exchanges. The collective organizes photo-sharing sessions and community welfare activities for both young people and the elderly. Within a year of its formation, the group gathered works from various members and published the photo album Prologue, themed "Hong Kong Street," to honor the overlooked individuals of the city.
The members come from diverse backgrounds, including film directors, university lecturers, and construction workers, capturing unique perspectives based on their social positions.

Cheng Wai Hok, born and raised in Hong Kong, who graduated from the City University of HK in 2009. He founded the camera boutique Meteor HK in 2013 and the photography cooperative Ménos Photos in 2018. Cheng joined Kyodo News as a contract photojournalist in 2020. His work appears in various news media, magazines and photo books.

I am Simone Chung, a product designer who fell in love with photography while studying industrial design. I view photography as a medium for artistic creation, I focus on street photography and artistic creation, skillfully using color and composition to tell stories and express ideas. My work primarily documents local Hong Kong culture, depicting the interaction between people and their environment. I also enjoy capturing abstract works to express my inner feelings and the balance of aesthetics.

Colin Lau received his education in BFA Photography
at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD HK) in 2014.
Colin’s photograph focus on the city and history of Hong Kong.
Colin’s work has been exhibited in U.S, France, Japan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Previously has been working Leica Camera as an instructor. Currently working as an Freelancer Photographer and photo editor. Cover story often publish on local publication related to cultural and documentary project in Hong Kong. Part time working for Magnum Photos for education program project.

Kwun Hei Lee is a street photographer from Hong Kong, whose passion for photography blossomed during his time in Sydney.. Since then, he has travelled across the globe, exploring diverse cultures and capturing candid moments.
His approach is intimate and immersive, inviting viewers to step into the vibrant tapestry of street life.

Cherry Leung is a Hong Kong-borned, UK based photographer. Intrigued and inherently inspired by both the urban and natural surroundings and their relationships with the living, her works attempt to transform the intangible essence of sentiment-filled fleeting moments into visual and abstract representation of life and existence. Only through revisiting the ethereal imagery has she realised she has embarked on a self discovery journey through photography. Her works have been showcased in Hong Kong, Japan and New York.

Leo Ma, a Manifester, works as a visual journalist, encountering various social events on a daily basis. His works abandon a traditional documentary method, instead he uses a personal, emotional approach to respond to societal phenomena. His method reflects his belief on photography, which should provoke language and evoke new interpretations, rather than merely document reality.

I work in film production.
For me, photography is a medium for emotional expression and projection.
I treat it as a diary, simply documenting daily occurrences, using the camera to create poetic verses.
Living in the moment.
Trained as a linguist since youth, have since developed an interest in photography when I picked up my father’s old film camera, and went on to explore the photography world through photo books, co-founded a local photo group Menós with a dozen of other like-minded individuals. Mainly focus on street/urban photography, landscape and occasional pre-wedding/wedding works. Now based in the UK.

I have only been involved in photography for about five years, and I am just a pipe worker who loves photography. This love is the sunshine of my life, allowing me to see and providing warmth in the cold wind.
I initially started with street photography, captivated by the interesting moments found in the lifeless streets. I especially cherish those moments that cannot be repeated, like an arrow released from a bow, never to return. These priceless seconds can only be captured by a camera.
Perhaps my state of mind is truly connected to my photography, or maybe photography has taught me to see the world in a different way. In recent years, I have experienced many detours in my life. I no longer want to delve into whether it is street photography or not; the branches in winter, the sea in summer, the wind in autumn, and the birds in spring—anything that evokes feelings in me, I want to capture with my camera, regardless of whether it is on the street or not.
I have photographed many people and things, and upon closer inspection, I realize that I am actually photographing myself.

Brian Wong, Hong Kong based Photographer, Co-founder of Ménos. Studied Digital Media at University of New South Wales. 10 years of working experience in video production and advertisement. Originally a movie enthusiast, then fell in love in photography. Been doing film photography since 2018. Co-published two photo books with Ménos: “Prologue: Hong Kong Street” and “The Weight of Silhouette”.
